Tres Hombres Rum Ed. 29 Captain's Choice Vintage 1997

This 2019 Tres Hombres Rum Ed. 29 was distilled by Ron Aldea in La Palma in 1997 from the purest local sugarcane juice, in a single column.

It has aged for 22 years in former bourbon casks, as well as in unused oak barrels. After this, the rum was ready for its final aging process in used Madeira Wine casks, on the overseas journey of the Tres Hombres to the Caribbean and finally back to Amsterdam.

The motion of the sea, together with the bags of cocoa and coffee among which the barrel is stored during the journey, gives this rum its full-bodied aroma.

This unique coming-to-age process blends traditional and inventive, to a never before experienced smoothness to leave an expression that is hard to forget!
